Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between LFP and standard Li-ion batteries used in electric scooters?

At Comptech, all our scooters are equipped with Safe LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) Cell Technology. Unlike standard Lithium-ion batteries which are prone to thermal runaway, LFP chemistry is inherently stable. LFP cells have successfully passed stringent nail penetration tests, eliminating the risk of unwanted fire, offering significantly higher thermal stability, and providing a much longer overall lifespan suited perfectly for the diverse climate of Bharat.

IDC range is calculated in a controlled laboratory setting under optimal speeds and zero wind resistance. Real-world range is what you actually experience on the road. For instance, while a battery might have a higher theoretical rating, factors like traffic stop-and-go, carrying a pillion rider, or managing steep flyovers affect performance. We proudly declare true Real-World Ranges—up to 135 km for the VX1 and 160 km for the VX1 Air+—so you can plan your daily commutes with complete peace of mind.

Yes, absolutely. Both the battery and the powerful Hub Motor on all Comptech models are IP67 rated. This means they are completely sealed against dust and are heavily certified to handle water immersion. Whether you are caught in sudden heavy rainfall or have to navigate flooded urban streets, your scooter’s electrical core is engineered to glide through safely without any risk of short-circuiting.
