The Root: Sixty Years of Industrial Excellence
Our story started with the birth of Comptech Equipments Ltd. For over half a century, Comptech has been the invisible backbone of Indian heavy industry. As a premier manufacturer of high-pressure, energy-efficient industrial air compressors, our machinery powered India’s largest manufacturing plants, automotive lines, and heavy infrastructure.
We mastered the art of building components that could endure heavy, continuous daily workloads without failing. But while our engineering was celebrated in factories and boardrooms across the country, our leadership team felt a deeper calling.
The Vision: Becoming a Household Name
Industrial air compressors are essential, but they stay confined behind factory walls. We wanted more. Our true vision was to bring the trusted Comptech name directly to the people—into every single household in India. We recognized that the massive, countrywide shift toward clean, sustainable electric mobility was the perfect vehicle to achieve this. By applying our six decades of industrial-grade engineering to electric two- and three-wheelers, we could build premium, safe, and ultra-reliable vehicles that everyday Indians and commercial riders could rely on every single day.
The EV Journey: Year by Year
Our transition from industrial giant to an EV pioneer moved at an aggressive, highly calculated pace. Here is how we turned our vision into reality:
2020: The Spark
The idea was born. Leadership laid down the mandate to enter the green mobility space, aiming to create a consumer-facing legacy that matched our industrial reputation.
2021: Deep R&D Focus
We officially began extensive Research & Development (R&D). Our focus was entirely on designing innovative, high-performance, and—above all—safe electric vehicles tailored specifically for Indian road and weather conditions.
2022: Scaling Infrastructure
To support production at scale, we established a cutting-edge, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, setting the stage for precision automotive assembly.
2023: Vertical Integration (LFP Cells)
Recognizing that the battery is the heart of an EV, we built a specialized, in-house battery assembly plant utilizing safe and highly stable Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) cells.
2024: The VX1 Launch
April: We proudly launched our flagship vehicle—the VX1, a premium electric scooter that marked our official entry into the consumer market.
2025: Portfolio Expansion
Building on the massive success of our retail debut, we expanded our vehicle lineup to include a highly economical scooter variant to cater to a wider audience.
2026 and Beyond: The Next Phase of Growth
As we look at the current year, Comptech Motocorp is expanding exponentially. We are gearing up for the upcoming launch of a uniquely designed Scooter, Motorcycle, and 3-wheeler platform.
To back this massive expansion, we are commissioning a brand-new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility equipped with advanced capabilities, including:
- In-house Injection Moulding
- Harness Manufacturing
- Advanced Chassis Manufacturing
Simultaneously, we are aggressively expanding our existing battery manufacturing, motor manufacturing, and complete assembly lines to meet the booming demand of both individual households and India’s rapidly growing B2B fleet networks.
